GAIYA is a female artist backed by a steady six-piece band. Together, they blend indie pop, pop/rock, and funk into a sound that fuses the grand and heartfelt with raw energy. Their musical universe weaves light pop melodies, apocalyptic drums, emotional guitar solos, and funky grooves into one cohesive expression of the intense emotional storms of youth.

Their sound draws inspiration from the dramatic intensity of Florence and the Machine, the groove-driven accessibility of early Maroon 5, and the unfiltered emotional outbursts of Beth Hart’s Leave the Light On.
Lyrically, GAIYA explores themes of relationships, youthful melancholy, love, and loss, delving honestly into inner conflict while leaving space for love, bitterness, and vulnerability.

A big part of GAIYA’s identity is rooted in their live performances. With a tightly connected seven-piece band that fills every inch of the stage, their shows are both explosive and intimate, with choreographed moves, a sense of unity, and dancing among the crowd.

GAIYA is an emerging name on the Danish music scene and has made a strong mark over the past year. They’ve performed across the country, at venues such as Pumpehuset, Amager Bio, Absalon, Huset, and Vig Festival, headlined a sold-out show at Drop Inn, and won the Vig Up 2023 and Emergenza Denmark 2024 competitions.
