What does a food system look like that can both feed the world and care for our climate, biodiversity, and health? Thursday morning from 08:15 AM to 09:00 AM at Nordhus, the talk format Sulten på Forandring zooms in on this question and invites everyone with an interest in the future of food to join the conversation.
From farm to fork – and beyond
Sulten på Forandring brings together regenerative experts, entrepreneurs, researchers, investors, journalists, students, and decision-makers for open, honest, and unscripted conversations. These talks ask bold questions, challenge conventional thinking, and connect knowledge across disciplines – from soil to table, and into the political and economic structures that shape our food systems.
The food crisis demands action – and new conversations.
Our current food system is one of the leading causes of both climate change and biodiversity loss. 31% of global CO₂ emissions come from food production, while 96% of biodiversity loss is linked to agriculture, deforestation, and overfishing. At the same time, intensive production methods pollute our water resources, one-third of all food produced goes to waste, and unhealthy, ultra-processed foods dominate many people's diets.
Change is needed – and Sulten på Forandring is a platform where that change can begin.

THEME: What if the future of farming lies in the art of limitation – and in stewarding the land rather than owning it?
As part of “Hungry for Change” at Nordhus CPH, Elise invites you to a morning conversation on Thursday, September 11 at 8:15 AM with Oscar Haumann – co-founder of Post Growth Guide, founder of Purpose Economy Denmark, and author of the new book Smådriftsfordele (The Advantages of Small-Scale). The conversation will explore how we can rethink both ownership and scale in the food system – and why small-scale farming could be part of the solution to the radical green transition.
Our current economic system favors growth, efficiency, and centralization. But what if the future’s strength lies in the opposite: conscious limitation, small scale, and stewardship rather than ownership?
Through Smådriftsfordele, Oscar will present how small producers and local value chains can create a more responsible food production system. We will discuss how the principles of Steward Ownership can ensure that both the land and businesses are managed for the benefit of the community.
Together, we will explore:
We serve free coffee! You can purchase a delicious breakfast from Nordhus’s menu before the event begins.
