We’ll provide inspiration and materials – you just need to bring a piece of clothing, a tote bag, or any other textile you’d like to upcycle.
Sashiko is a Japanese embroidery technique made with tiny, evenly spaced stitches. Originally used to repair clothing, the technique is now also used for decorative and meditative purposes.
During the workshop, you’ll learn how to transfer your own design onto fabric and receive guidance throughout the process.
We look forward to seeing you!
About the Instructor
My name is Camilla, and I love bringing people together around creative projects. I have extensive experience hosting creative workshops and enjoy exploring different crafts and techniques. I focus on creating a cosy and relaxed atmosphere where there is room for both concentration, laughter, and good conversations along the way. Everyone is welcome, from complete beginners to experienced creatives. I look forward to creating something together with our hands and perhaps even learning something new about both the craft and each other along the way.
Welcome to Kreatirsdag at NORDHUS. A creative community where we meet every Tuesday from 7:30–9:30 PM to immerse ourselves in different crafts. Each week features a different theme, giving you the chance to try your hand at graphic printing, weaving, embroidery, and upcycling. No experience is required – just curiosity and a desire to learn something new. Come on your own or bring a friend.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Purchase a ticket for our communal dinner before the embroidery session. Dinner is served at 6:00 PM.
